The Dynasphere was a ten-foot motorized wheel patented by British inventor J. A. Purves in 1930. The driver sat inside its iron latticework while the entire structure rolled around them. Purves imagined it as the future of transport and even built an eight-passenger version. It could reach roughly 25 miles per hour, although steering and braking remained unconvincing.
